Hey all, can tfind anyhting to answer this with search, a bit of an open ended question....

Is the chain and sprockets set for the SV650 the same as the bandits?
I know the naked sv has a different set to the "s", but is still useable.....anyone know about the interchangeability with the bandits?

hi, i've been looking to gear my curvy sv650s down so ready for some tech? sv650s runs a 15t front, 44t rear on a 525 chain, naked sv runs a 45t rear. a bandit 600/650 runs a 15t front and a 47t rear but on a 530 chain. get a 112 link chain or a 114 link chain just to be on the safe side. from what i've seen the bandit sprocket is a 5 bolt fitment and the sv's is a 110 pcd with an id of 87 so if the bandit's is the same it'll drop on. also you'd have to know the 530 chain's wear limit across pins as the one in the sv manual is for the standard 525 chain. hope this helps, if it does let me know. i'd have to wait til mine needs a new set to be a guinea pig for this conversion!

think the 525 pitch gsf400 47 drops straight on, same pitch, pcd and id as sv

Think the original OP might have changed his chain & sprockets as 5 years have passed since :p

Oh well better late than never
