Just been down to West London Suzuki with a hand full of cash to buy the new SV650 Sport.
I was in and out in under 3 minutes still holding my cash....why?
Because the new SV650 Sport isn't the normal mid blue that all the adverts and track shots show it to be...................it's..... TURQUOISE and not a very nice turquoise either.

Sorry Suzuki, I want a sports bike to be proud of, not one that looks like a 1970s 3 wheeler (you know the one I mean)

The dealer is having you on. That's last year's colour.

Can't blame you there... I think the reason that the Sport promotion's on is that they can't sell that colour, personally. Still, it's not the worst colour SVs have ever been :)

Still, if you ignore the Sport deal, the SV's still a good buy. It's not really any more sporty than the standard models, all it is is bolt-ons. And the insurance deal of course.

I thought the sport deal was on the same blue as the K3,4 & 5 years? Maybe I'm mistaken :?

I thought it was the greeny blue? I've seen pics showing a very green one, and pics with blue though.

Ah, but looks like I'm wrong- Steve Jordan's website says "Now available in blue or silver". They're also offering the standard bikes with free insurance at £4100. There's something up with Cupar's website atm, can't get in there.

If they're doing it in the silver, with the black frame, that would be a result IMO- lovely combination.

Nope its the K6 blue. The K3, K4, K5 blue is a deeper darker blue. The k6 blue is basically well turqoise and its f*cking orrible IMHO*

The Sport thats Silver isnt silver, its got a slight blue / lilac tinge to it and its orrible as well IMHO*

You cant really tell the colours from the pictures on the Suzuki website, as they look different depending on the lighting conditions. Especially in bright sunlight.

As Northwind says, the Sport is Suzuki's way of selling off last years K6 colours and shifting the stock prior to the K7's coming into dealers. Shame if they had realised the K6 in decent colours ( i.e the K5 colour scheme ) they'd have shifted them.

*Apolgoies to K6 Blue and Silver owners

So what's a bloke to do?
Here I am, money burning a hole in my pocket, and the bike of my dreams has developed a lisp.
Can someone put me out of my misery and tell me when the 07 bikes arrive? (and do they come in grown-ups colours?)

well i bought one in the bluey/silver colour! was annoyed though that the colour used in all the promo stuff isnt what u get! bit too much lighting/ photoshop used in my opinion!!!

but i think this was the next best colour to get it in! plus the free insurance is brilliant! well especially being 21 having my license 4 months and this being my first bike. and got really good help from the guys at cupars!

deal was the bike in the sport form with free insurance and a years free AA cover for £4299. plus they gave me a huge discount on a lid and boots (working out at 25%) all in all great deal and love the bike!

Feel very proud of myself now, got mine for £4100, with good part ex price.

I agree the blue isn't the best blue, but I like it enough to have gone for the bike. And it grows on you.

I also quite like the way it changes colour depending on the ambient light. Like a less tacky pearlesent (? spelling) colour.

Go on, you know it makes sense.

Why don't you get a 2nd hand one? They are fairly easy to find so you could a low milage one.

preferbly in black with a black frame, or a proper blue. You'll save on depreciation as well.

Tin Man, same thing happened to me. I ended up saving myself a bundle and going for a MUCH cheaper, near-perfect, low miles 2004 bike, in a colour I love.

K7 colours look nice, though. Deep metallic red, dark blue and a proper silver iirc. It's the ones which have (MISLEADINGLY :x ) been on the Suzuki UK website for the last 3 months nearly!

I wasn't 100% convinced when i ordered it , bought now really like it, it's a completely different colour in and out of a garage. Bought from Cupar, great service.

Pic attached gives a good idea of actual colour in daylight, not to everyones taste, but we're all different

But if you're not convinced then wait to see what k7 colours are
