um..

X is 1999
Y is 2000
K(number) is 200(number)

Yours is a Y in pearl helios red?? or an incredibly late registered X???

My naked curvy was first registered registered in 2003 but from the frame number I know it's a K1. How did that happen guys?

Put your bike's reg number here~

http://www.hpicheck.com/newfrontend/

It should give you some basic info including year of manufacture and model no.

It should state it on your log book!

It should state it on your log book!

my reg cert says:
first reg 12 06 2003
sv 650 k1
frame no: js1av133200101640
and the reg plate on the frame matches that.

work that out lol!

I'd guess then that the bike was built (or at the very least shipped out the factory in a box) in 2001, hence it being a K1. But then it sat & didn't actually sell until 2003, so it was never registered with the folks at the DVLA until June 2003.

One reason for not registering a bike is that the Suzuki warranty starts on the day it's registered.

EDIT: This would also give a 'bonus' of an earlier bike, not actually moving, so having less miles on the clock ;)
