Hi, I noticed that my 2000 SV was making a ticking from around the engine the other day. It only does this when the engine has warmed up and stops when I rev the engine slightly. I have not heard it while riding only when stood still.
Dont know if this is related to the problem but a couple of weeks ago when I stopped for petrol bout 1 mile from home the bike wouldnt start after filling up at first, after it started it seemed to run fine for bout 40 miles then a cylinder cut out then began cutting in and out. After a few miles it seemed to clear itself and ran fine all the way home. I had just a 33bhp kit fitted few days before this happened and dont know if its related, had same prob at petrol station the other day but it stayed on both cylinders.
