Yesterday a news article said that in Autumn '08 DVLA Swansea will begin processing all Northern Ireland vehicle registrations. (They didn't mention driving licenses, however I would guess they will do this too)

Isn't it about time the whole thing was centralised, I bought a bike recently from Scotland and I cant believe the hassle it has been to transfer it over to a Northern Ireland V5

Get this..

Send off to Swansea for a refund on the 9 months Road Fund License currently left on the bike - due to me purchasing the bike on the 9th of December, I loose 22 days worth. (Only full months are refunded)

Wait til I get the paperwork

Send the paperwork to Coleraine, along with an application for new Road Fund License

I'm glad to see our hard earned tax money is going to good use, paying for issue/reissue of Road Fund License etc.
