Good point, I am stuck with Endsleigh £150 for £10,000 worth of personal contents cover, because I have moved to a post code which has a flood warning on it (has hardly ever flooded!), so I tried 11 other companies and coudln't get a quote. Anyone any experience with flood warning postcode cover?
got their number?

The e-group as in ebike insurance now do ehome insurance (http://www.ehomeinsurance.co.uk/) prices look good as it was £158 for my home/contents
Mine's with Lloyds TSB. Haven't got all the details to hand but it was a lot cheaper than NatWest who I was with before.
Churchill's for me.
Got 10% off both coz I have my car insurance with 'em

You sure £10k is enough? It sounds alot but it wouldn't come anywhere near covering our contents.
We pay somewhere around £190 for buildings and contents with Zurich through a broker. I could possibly get it cheaper elsewhere but I know the broker so if anything goes wrong I can get some useful advice.
A bod from work uses More Than. He pays £175 for £50k or £60k contents and More Than's rebuild default value is something daft like £450k - or so he tells me...I haven't checked.
I think so long as you don't stick with the insurance offered by your mortgage provider you should be doing OK.

Well its pure contents; its a rented furnished building, so all I have is my TV, PC and clothes etc. Should be fine for £10,000. Its more the high premium that I don't like.

thanks for this, just got quoted £300 which is at least £100 cheaper than what i pay now... my house was built in the 1890's and i live in bradford so not a bad quote at all :)
