I'll see, i've the bikes MOT to get done and the tax to pay, plus I want to get it serviced and a new chain and sprockets... I'm gonna be skint but I think I could afford a wee run to St Andrews for ice cream

CC, if you just want to tide it over till you get a new one I've got a standard SV chain in the garage, just wants a new rivet link to put it back together (eh, and someone who can rivet a chain) which I've been keeping as a spare... But when I change the rear wheel out the sprockets won't match, so it's not likely to do me much use ;)

24-01-07, 08:21 PM
Sad to say I ordered the chain and Sprockets today and as its a 46 tooth I need a longer chain...

We are sheep Scooby, we are waiting to be led!
And anyway, it's quality not quantity. As Henry V said:
"If we are marked to freeze our tits off, we are enough
To do our org loss; and if to be OK because it turns out mild,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour."

There nae mibbee about it - I definately ain't going. Having mega doubts about going back on 2 wheels full stop. Thinking on selling the SV and passing the Honda onto Dad and calling it quits. Why I don't know its just how I'm feeling at the moment.- Life's s***

Life is cold, hard, brutal, filled with pain, misery, anguish. And so short!
But biking is a source Quedos, it can change your life. Go for a blast, you'll feel better, really. Maybe ride a wee bit too fast, go too far. It'll be as though you were dipped in magic waters.
Don't give up.

Tiger 55
03-02-07, 10:50 AM
24/25 on the basis it'll be closer to spring and it'll take at least 3 weeks to conduct a poll and then shake us all out of hibernation.
But any weekend in Feb suits me. :)

Great run on Sat, along the coast road to Aberlady than back via the bypass about 120miles all in.
Decided a couple of things, definately need a tinted visor as low evening sun just blinds you completely, was crawling along at about 20 at one point. Need to connect up hot grips as even with new gloces fingers were starting to get a wee bit nippy after a few hours.
Was filtering along seafield road and had to take avoiding action when some tw*t opened drivers door to pour something on road (coffee i think) clattered the kerb of a traffic island with something on the underside, either exhaust or engine i think, not sure, cant see any damage luckily, gave pillion a bit of a fright not as much as when the front end stepped out on a roundabout on the way home went back around for a look and found (yep you guessed it) diesel. Despite these 2 minor infractions great day out, couple of degrees warmer would have been nice but we cant have it all.
Ice cream run!!!
We seem to be going round the houses with this. So here we go.
SUNDAY 18th February 12PM Kinross Services Come one come all
I know there a few who have "sorned" their toys over winter but lets see what sort of interest we get. Slightly later start in case of early morning frost. Hands up who's for it??

We can move this to the 25th if STRAMASHER and Ralph can make that weekend, it'll give Northy more time for repairs as well
so,is it the 25th??for an end to all this yes/no ******** ?mark(kg)do a final post (as your quite good with computers )we cant keep everybody happy with the date so itlljust b picked and we'll see who turns up .the usual westies to hg on gwr at 9ish and on to kinross ,last yr was only a turnout of 6 i think so low numbers are to b expected .remember folks B THERE OR B SQUARE(IN A 80S KINDA THING) 8)

Yeah, sounds alright to me. I just finished ripping my immobiliser out and threw it in the bin, I figure if I cut my electrical components by half it's twice as likely to make the distance :)
