I am sure this has been covered previously, but I will ask anyway. What do you guys do whilst riding in a rain and you visor gets really mucky? Mine got some nice film of road dirt, grease and rain on it today morning and I really struggled to see through it at the end of the trip. I am almost totally blind if there are cars coming the opposite way with their lights on. I resisted the temptation to wipe it with my hand/sleeve while riding. Do you just apply some visor protector/water repellent that will care care of this?

What hovi5 means is a V-Wipe. I'll back VB up, they are blooming good. Before I got mine (from getgeared.co.uk IIRC) I just used to use my glove. Whilst it wasn't perfect, it was better than nothing.

You can also get gloves with v-wipe's built in, apparently.

I have got a pair of gloves with a small rubber blade along the edge of one ot the thumbs, which works well.

However, these also look pretty good:-

I've got some gloves with a wiper on the left index finger - works brilliantly. Held Freddo - cost about £25 and do a top job of keeping you warm and dry without being too bulky (unlike HG Pathans which are quite chunky and not as waterproof).

For really bad muck, there's a little unit that goes on the bars that you can buy from Nippy Normans. It uses a box containing water with a sponge and a squeegee, so it ought to get most muck off, though you'll probably have to stop to use it properly. Usually the worst muck comes when it's wet, so the finger wipe does the job. using a normal gloved finger can make the visor a bit streaky after a bit, which the rubber wipes don't do.
