Imagine it, someone poulls up beside you with a smashed up GS1200

"Did you drop it mate?"
"Nah mate, shipwrecked..."

Keep and eye on ebay! With cloned plates and dodgy paperwork someone is bound to sell some and get away with it - better clean all the salt out!

Not that I condone such deeds but...with a fine of just 2'000 sterling for not handing in any goods found. The maths for quickly breaking up a brand new BMW and selling the bits off could make a whole lot of sense. :?

Plus, the hot-fingered beach-comber, would waive their right to a salvage award, and have to pay the owner twice the good's value: "In the case of a BMW motorbike, it could be quite expensive".

As I also posted in a thread in IB

I wouldn't take a motorcycle that wasn't mine from a shop or someones garage, why should a container that has fallen off a ship be any different ?

Just the kind of pacckage you could expect - 50 BMW motorbikes, exhaust pipes, steering wheels and beauty cream!! Probably why they are a bit slippery?

I guess BMW did some demographics research into the sort of people that ride their bikes and decided they could make a few peripheral sales with the bikes =p

Love it!

I have just stolen an expensive BMW from a shipwreck...lets go on national TV and talk about it...la la la la la...I have no intention of giving it back...I'm sure the police or the wreck insurers don't watch TV....

Stealing nappies is one but expensive BMWs is another! I find it amazing that there is no law against this.
