Can't afford it yet, but thinking about what to upgrade the SV to when I can. Any opinions on the above bikes are gratefully recieved! I'm 6'5, so I want a bike that i won't look stupid on (like I do on the SV, it's just too small) which is why the last two are in there.

Help me SV-wan kenobi, you're my only hope...

Looks easy, 3 showrooms to visit and ride all the options. I really couldn't comment on which one would be suitable for you. I mean you're like a foot taller than me ya freak!

are we to assume that the cost of insurance isn't an issue here?

AFAIK the insurance on the first three is roughly the same, the other two are in there as wild cards TBH

The newer Super Duke is an interesting package now they seem to have fixed the tank range. My loyalties are with the Italian however.

Here's a nice biased review that sums up why: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=4023&Page=1

Heres a vid on what its like to ride: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IttIWmZfrNo

And if you are indeed verticly blessed - it may fit better than the other 2 fighters. You know its quality when it comes with a 4 year warranty

Awww- I dunnno! I had enough trouble choosing my bike before I even took my test!!!

Kind of glad I didn't go for a ZZR600 though (was quite into the idea for a while)- 70bhp is by far enuff for me at the mo.

Don't know much about those bikes, but went for a ride out with someone on a SuperDuke the other day- they make a LOVELY noise! Quite tasty bikes too, though not my cuppa...

having ridden a super duke you have to try it 8) , really great bike. ment to wheelie

only thing was tank range but they seem to have fixed that with the new one :) .

how often do you use your bike?? because if like me your bik is your only form of transport the ktm are suposed to high maintance dunno if thats true tho??

would question the turno on its suspension apperantly *sp* it gets tied in knots in hard riding the ktm superuke is ment to be better

I'm still leaning towards the tuono coz of it's size and the fact that I'm technically a giant.

Saying that tho, looks like insurance for me at the mo might be as much as £2.5k, so maybe I'll wait a week or two... :(

Ask Cloggsy about KTM's before you go down that route.....

Tuono - lovely bike, wonderful motor, shame it's made by Aprilia. That said, people keep buying them....

You still don't have an IL4 option [-X

Took a tuono for a test drive..... WHEEEEEE!!!!!!! A Little cramped for a naked im 6'4 however a little roomier than the SV and quite a nice riding position with those wide bars. My wife said yes, the bank manager said yes, the insurance said NO!!! Well £3000. So I said no.

Have you ridden one or is this based on hearsay :?:

I've ridden a few IL4s in the past, but I just fancy staying twin for me next bike. Plus the 5 above are bikes that give me the rampaging horn in a way that no other bikes I've seen recently have. If there was an il4 that fired me up in that way, I'd consider it. But so far nothing.

So it's not prejudice, just attraction!

That's a good enough reason i guess!

mmm, nice selection of bikes btw. I've got a couple of friends with KTM Adventures and they've been extremely happy with them, very quick on bumpy back roads too. And the SuperDuke is especially tasty...

best way to go is probably to take test rides on them all then decide which you liked the best

When you price the insurance - try E-bike and insure you select the OE factory installed immobilizer - they come standard on the bikes. Add/do a bike safe + R&Gs. It saved me a few hundred squid...
