Clear skys up here in sunny lancashire. Twas as frost night, but no sign of snow
About 3 inches here
If I didn't have a job and all I had to do all day was go sledging, have snowball fights and make snowmen then I would probably love the stuff.
Sadly this is not the case.
Bah, humbug.
I piggin' HATE snow.

Got quite a bit of snow round where I live too 8)
Bah, humbug.
I piggin' HATE snow.
The cold weather that arrives with snow makes the bike run rubbish and lumpy, could also be bad fuel or the fact that i have a large air filter opening. Either way it makes the bike odd to ride.
Add to that the fact that my road never gets gritted, means i'm gonna be a public transport monkey for the next day or two.
Now where did i put that axe...
Today, I discovered that I'm a fair weather biker. Woke up thinking should I ride in or not - my gloves are really naff & I get numb fingers after about a mile. I looked outside my front door saw that it was still snowing & my bike & street & road were covered in the white stuff so I had the excuse I needed to get the tube with the common proletariat.
I am now hanging my head with shame!

Stop putting the snow in your petrol tank - it's not big and it's not clever!!

Fear not! Discretion is the better part of valour. There's a difference between being a fair weather rider and admitting defeat when it's impossible to ride. I've ridden in snow once when i was a courier. Crashed 3 times in one day (which is worse than even MY average). The last one knackered the bike so much that I had to wait for recovery.
Which took 4 hours or so.
Did I mention that I piggin' hate snow?

My SV runs crap when its really cold too (standard except for the can).
Its kind of surgey at low revs.
I thought they where supposed to run better when its cold because the air is more dense ? :?

 where abouts in Kent are you? No sign whatsoever of snow in the outskirts of
Sittingbourne - Canterbury.

I love snow... Even when I have to ride in it. But I hate the icy mess you get after snow!
Snow? What's that then?
All I see is clear blue skies & bright sunshine :smt102

Love the snow!! Itching to get skis on now. But not soo cool on 1-2inches, which is all we have here (Contrary to most men's beliefs!)
Snows all gone now...all thats left is slush and lots of water :(

Hey, it's cold just now, not our fault :)

I still got snow. Our road never gets gritted and its now solid ice, with snow on top.....nice! Had to take my son to the hospital the other night (everything ok now tho!) and set off out at 1 o'clock in morning with young child and bluthering snow, was first adrenaline rush I've had this year!
