as a few of you prob remember my cousin has a sv650sk6 and it used to live at my house until he got his garage built, now he has the sv at his house he just cant stop cleaning it :roll: i thourght i was bad :oops: some of you prob remember his black bandit front pipes at AR06?

We have a guy on the thou site, who no longer has his SV, but you could have eaten off of it- the most immaculate bike I've ever seen!! Will see if I can find pics...

Remove the tank and swingarm. But if you're going to do that for cleaning you might as well just drop the engine out, or seek professional help.

My pipes were that shiney a week ago, one run toady and **** brown again :roll:

I saw a GS at Bath Road today 55 plate was the skankiest Ive ever seen. Ok, obviously an everyday use bike, maybe even a courier by the muffs and other live on the bike acoutriments but it really did look like it had never been cleaned. Front wheel was compeltely black (meant to be silver). Seen a lot of salt too, corrosion everywhere. Mine only got cleaned properly once since May and nothing like that.

Kwak i think the red sv is cleaner than yours. You've got slight corrosion on that front brake disc and its digustingly dirty up around the top of the header pipe.

Is that a new undertray? How you have kept it from stone chips i dont know - mine has tiny chips all over the front of it. :(

the bike came with lowers but i took them off and stuck them up the loft and put a new pan on.

Here's a pic after I did some polishing. Couldn't get to the rear header as I couldn't be bothered removing half the bike to get at it. Still, not a bad effort I thought for a 2000 bike.

I don't think I could ever have such a clean bike :shock: I do try to keep them clean but they just get mucky again so I just stop bothering in the end :lol: I even won a prize at a bike rally one year for my GPZ500S - and it wasn't the one for best bike :wink:
