Most will know that on selling a house you have to disclose if anyone has complained at you or if you've experienced any problems. Well I act for clients buying a house where the sellers have said this:

'About 4 years ago for 3 consecutive weekends our house was pelted with eggs. We have no evidence as to the perps but we set up a security camera and this cured the problem.

We have otherwise had problems with the occupants of number [X][neighbours]. Historically they used their premises for the purpose of carrying out car repairs and frequently obstructed access along the cul de sac. Other neighbours initially reported this activity over 4 years ago. They believed that we were the instigators of this complaint and as a consequence we have suffered verbal abuse ever since.'

Would you buy it? Clients have decided to proceed nonetheless

Depends:
1. How bad a house you are moving from
2. How hard / thick skinned you are

I fail on point 2, so I wouldn't.

can only think that your clients (the purchasers) must be hard as nails and expect to be even worse behaved!

Surely the troublesome nieghbours wouldn't have any problems with the new clients as they have nothing to do with the situation?

That would imply the neighbours have some kind of powers of logic or reason. Since they appear to be generally agro scumlord types, this type of thinking might be beyond them.

Possibly this new tenant could use a more blunt object to the face type persuasive tactic.
