Hi Everybody

Those of you that know me, will know that sadly my neice passed away recently. Emma was born on 8th January 2007 and sadly passed away on the 18th January 2007. She was born at 26 weeks. The nursing staff at Musgrove Park Neonatal Unit in Taunton did an incredible job of looking after her and I'm signed up to do a cycle ride with the aim of raising some money for the Unit.

If you'd like to sponsor me, I would really appreciate it. The amount matters not a few pence or a couple of quid anything you can spare I'd be grateful for.

If you click the link in my signature you'll find out a bit more information about what I've signed up for. But I'm not completely nuts :D and I'm only doing the 50 mile route on 26th May.

If you would like to sponsor me, I've got a paypal account that you can use,

Paypal Linky (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=fizzwheel%40hotmail%2eco%2euk&item_name=Musgrove%20Park%20Neonatal%20Unit&no_shipping=2&no_note=1&tax=0&currency_code=GBP&lc=GB&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF&charset=UTF%2d8)

Or alternatively if you want to send me a cheque PM me and I'll let you have my address.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Cheers

Fizz

Today Portugal is spending €10.000.000 (something like £6.500.000) on this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6350651.stm).

I know for some (even most?) the two subjects can't be remotely compared, but it saddens me to see all that money literally thrown out the window when there are (what I deem to be) more worthy causes struggling for survival (no pun intended? maybe there is) because of the lack of funds.

Fizz, hope it all goes well. Paypal sent.

Sorry about the rant, I had to get that out of my chest.

Next year, we'll be expecting you to go all the way. Added incentive is the doubling of my sponsorship for this year :D

That would be a cheque mate.

Tried to send you a PM for address and who to make it payable to but I think I've done something wrong as it's not in my "sent box"
Looks like we don't have an "out box" anymore so can't even check that:smt013

Could you send me a PM with details please.

Yeah..don't you go letting up on the training. Jokes apart, good work dude

£150 from you guys so far. Which is bl**dy brilliant.

Training, not to bad, I've been plodding away on the trainer, At the weekend. I did 30 miles in two hours. So I'm up to over half distance. I need to get out on the road though and keep clocking up the miles.

No it doesnt, ah the joys of padded cycling shorts. :D

I think between, myself, my brother, my dad, and various other relatives who have all been collecting we've raised somewhere in the region of £1000 which I'm pretty chuffed about.

Just thought I would bump this.

Well things have been moving on, but the issue of getting the money to the hospital has been difficult, with mum and dad not wanting to and take it down due to painful memories, a difficult situation.

So we had a count up and in total you guys helped me raise a total of £1735 for the Neo Natal Unit that looked after Emma. This was taken down to the unit and presented a week or so ago by Emma's Grandma, Grandad and Neice. The money will go to helping the unit look after more babies like Emma on equipment to help them as they fight their battles.

I also have some good news. I'm going to be an Uncle again with mum and dad expecting a new arrival on 9th of November. So not long to go now.

Thank you again to everybody that sponsored me
