I have recently noticed that NTL world has now become Virgin Media.
I hadn't heard that they were being taken over and I only just read an articule on the BBC website. Has this been in the pipeline for a while now????

Now I cannot access my e-mail, and very shortly I presume I now need to amend my mail address to virgin media. Does anyone know if they are redirect mail to my ntl address to my new virgin inbox??? Or do I have to tell every f**king person my new mail address.

A bit of warning could of helped! :compcrash:

I'm with NTLworld too. If I find my e-mail address has changed I might as well change ISP. I've been thinkning about it for a while; the only thing stopping me was the address change.

They sent out a letter say that your e-mail may change if you want... all mine seems fine and I haven't changed it.

Been with ntl for years. My email address still works just fine.

Can you log in via the webmail facility? This, too, works fine for me.

I'm now with Virgin media too (was Telewest), email is still working ok though.

On another note though - anyone else heard that the TV service might be losing Sky One and possibly other Sky channels due to a dispute?

Not sure about a package deal as such, but the 'V+ Box' is already available AFAIK, i've had the telewest TVdrive box for a while, not sure if it was ever available on NTL though.

I'd actually be interested to know what channels are available to NTL customers that aren't available to telewest customers - that article posted by Matt mentions Sky Two & Three being pulled - I never had them in the first place! Now that it's all under the Virgin name, surely everyone should get the same services?

Been with NTL for several years mainly due to having poo TV reception and when cable came in it seemed a good solution. Went with cable TV+broadband+phone.

Not had any real probs with NTL though their customer service centre could be a bit indifferent, never managed to understand their billing system either. Last year in order to get a sensible pack deal they ended up giving me some intricate combination of service feature and rebates which sure enough did end up with a sensible cost, but why the complication?

Couple of weeks ago when Virgin had obviously got in there, my packs went back to basic spec and silly money, so phoned expecting grief and frustration, only to be told by a Scots lad that he'd put me straight onto the "3 for £30" pack, no nonsense. :smt045

....oh, and the e-mail is exactly as it was before too............

They sent out a letter about a month ago and have been TV advertising heavily.

Customer Service has had several million pound spent on it. You do not have to change your email address you can choose to keep your ntlworld one.
