I'm at work... But dry roads are great, I shaved 10 minutes off my commute today and still arrived late as I ended up doing the fun bit twice :)

it looks lovely and the roads are dry .BUT im just back in and its a bit .,,,,er,,,,gusty.the wind was blowing me about something silly.i was slowing down at a give way ,i was almost stopped and the wind blew me onto the pavement as i was going to turn ,just lucky the pavement was clear of people ande the kerb was was about 2'' ,so it wasnt a big deal to ride up it.i prob could have stopped the bike but slamming on the brakes would have prob had me off )my feet were on the pegs at the time .gave me a bit of a fright ,middle of the road all the way home ,and now its just starting to rain,so another day eh;)

VERY gust today in Numb & Cauld. I'm off today and working on the CCTV system after the window guy has been. As much as I fancy a wee blast, the wind & the slippery roads are ensuring that there's no way I'm going out. Perhaps this way I'll get the system upgrade finished today.

Cheers,

At 10 past 1 I thought "Bugger, just missed him, could've gone on that."

At 10 past 2 I though "Christ, it's coming down stair rods, have fun Jim!"

You made a good choice there I think. Another time :)

Yep, quite a tricksie wind... I've ridden in worse but this is the sort that could catch you out, since it's so on/off.

You should have been where I was today. Worst I've ever ridden in. Open fields, gusts. Give me the city any day -it's just a big wind break ;)

Yep, but I commute on the Edinburgh bypass, it's a raised bit in the middle of fields :) Pretty bloody awful but, like I say, I've ridden in worse. I got blown over once on the Orrible Yam, waiting to get out of the junction at Alvins with both feet down. How I laughed.

Yes, interesting wind, gusting infrequently and from different directions, went for a blast at 3:30 roads started getting wetter the further north i went, which combined with the wind and the salt laden tarmac made it quite challenging.;)

Headed home through stirling about 5, madness, cages parked for miles, sitting stationary on roundabouts blocking oncoming and exiting routes for other cagers, the old "cant leave a space there someone might nip in front of me" attitude. Was filtering / overtaking along a stretch of stationary cages heading for a roundabout and as i approached where the road widended to 2 lanes had to stop for someone jutting out, wvm behind me who was following my filter (although he was about 70% in the oposing lane) skidded into the back of me when i stopped, wtf:confused: , luckily just enough to ping my numberplate and not actually connect with the rest of the bike. "expletive":safe: No damage so i went on my merry way. Other than that a nice wee ride, good to get some miles under the belt again.
