No need to be nervous, Sarah - the examiner will try to put you at your ease. Just remember everything you've been taught. The examiner will be looking for a good, safe ride - not a perfect one. But observations are non-negotiable. And so is safety, so no pulling out in front of anything or making another driver change course cos of something you've done.

My hot tip has always been: don't forget to cancel the indies!! I got manic about it and kept pressing the button just to make sure. Still do.

Relax, and treat it as an oppo to show off.

i had a week of training just before christmas but my test was cancelled due to freezing fog, i rebooked my test for a few weeks ago and it was cancelled due to snow.

hoping for friendlier weather tomorrow :D

You're not Steven's missus, by any chance, are you? If that doesn't make any sense, ignore it, I've mistaken you for someone else. :)

congrats. when I passed my test, on my e-stop I also went round the block on my own, practised an e-stop out of sight and did a messy 2 wheel skid. When I came round to do the real thing I eased up and stopped spot on. I'm sure they let you go out of sight for just that reason ;)

Err.. no. They expect to see you stop in the shortest space as possible in full control of the bike. Give a reasonable dose on the front brake (depending on the weather) and move your foot down a tad to move the rear brake. The forks will dive (as usual) without locking the front and the examiner sees application if the rear. Oddly that will stop you in full control and in a short distance.Thats it.

I certainly would not practice stops on the test IMHO. Sveedy I think you were smart to take advantage of your situation on your test and quick thinking as well. Good thinking on your part.
