Thank god it wasnt the SV but it was my winter bike A Honda XL Varadero ive been out the most of the nite looking for it, find out that quite a few bikes have been nicked around here but have yet to see a copper, fat chance...... i guess that will make me stop bragging on how cheap my insurance was this year..... it wont next year now so any one see my bike in the goole area smack the git on it for me:mad:
sorry to hear that dude, thieving *******s :hackedoff:
any one got anything thats cheap to run and maintain i'd dare say cheap to insure but thats f... that up ....:shaking2:
I'm really sorry to hear about this, I know how you feel, I had two bikes stolenfrom the same garage many years ago :(
Time to think about going silly on the security stakes now. Two disc locks, alarm, anchor etc.
Good luck on your search for a new winter bike.

whichever forum you look at, there's at least a bike a day stolen.
The police don't care, the insurers increase their prices, the alarm manufacturers get rich selling their pointless gadgets for insurance discounts...
Short of wiring you bike up to the mains every night or shelling out a grand in security, how do you to stop these feckers???!!!

dogs are the best kind of security.
They do work, but I keep mine away from the garage with no access to it.
They can have the bike as far as I'm concerned, I'm not getting my little mate hurt from trying to stop a robber.
One of my parent's dogs was poisoned to gain access to their shop, so I don't wanna run the risk of anyone hurting him. You never know what people will do nowadays. :(
Bad news about the bike fella, really sucks when something like this happens.

Where do you keep the dog, in the garage? I'd be worried about it chewing my dogbones:smt005
Ive got it back sort off....I was out most of Friday nite looking for it and the **** that took it. Harrassing the cops that were out to helpme, just said id be better off hoping it will never turn up... Anyway although i found a witness to the theft. and spend from 9am Sat again harassing the cops a little old lady found the bike (the F.......ers) tried to dump the bike in local river but it landed on the mud/sand bank it still took me and a few mate most of the day to get it out No i lie we couldnt get it out without the help of some dock workers and a old army landrover......So its cost me £117.50 to get it up to hull to the nearest garage and £20 everyday to get to and from work in a taxi Still no copper has contacted me about the B...... who nicked it they know who it is I know who it is now Mass kickin anyone

£600 000 a year is spent on preventing motorbike theft. £125 000 on a leaflet telling people how to remove chewing gum and mop up drink spills and £7 million spent on teaching government workers in longbenton (newcastle) where to put their staplers, phone and diary on their desk (using electrical tape to mark the desk)
doesn't add up to me! it sucks!
