Yep...got first crash under my belt, all-be-it a very very slow speed one. Trying to turn the SVs through a narrow archway on a pothole-ridden, muddy farm track I accidentally dabbed the front brake. Down I went but got off fairly lightly with only a cracked fairing and dislodged indicator. As both these bits of damage had previously been re-fabricated with fibre-glass stuff it's no big loss. Very pleased no other pointy metal bits snapped.

Although it is 99% rider error I have to blame at least 1% on the fact that the mechanic at the garage had raised my idle speed to 2k and thus, it was harder to ride at a slow creep.

Anyway, left shin is starting to swell up but it's a lesson learned and idle speed has now been pegged back to 1500 rpm. Stay away from dirt-tracks!

I've seen at least 2, one was an American, the other was up in Scotland- I think northwind had seen the latter in real life, so might be worth asking him.
