I will be moving house in a few weeks, so have been sorting out everything big time ready for the removal men.
Some of the more unusual finds or rediscoveries:
A marathon bar
Status Quo's autographs
Approx £20 in big 10p and big 50p (think I can take that to the bank)
A 70's top shelf mag called Fiesta
A credit card swipe receipt, on that kinda greaseproof paper
an 8 track tape of pink floyd - animals
A digital watch (a proper 70's one, battery flat)
Cool! - Ebay not the bank might work :?:

It just shows how much the junk follows you around.
There are even more oddities,
A telephone with a dial
A car phone (thats a mobile weighing about 5kg!)
A 286 mono laptop..
Most of it has gone down the tip where it rightfully belongs!

Tried that a few months ago, but its just sooo much hassle, and the only winners are ebay. Advertised a huge box of 60's beer mats, but got little interest so pulled it.
Just found a gallon of castrol R40 in the garage, thats at least 30 years old. Used to add it into the petrol on my fizzy, the fumes smelt awesome.

No, don't ... you're a comfort zone to alot of this forum's members.
It's like finding old memory's stashed away in the loft, and remembering the past.
See what I down there? De-railed and course correction all in one post.

found 3 shooters up there too, i kid you not!! :o
i think my father had a past......

Yeah yeah yeah. Where are we with the Fiesta?
What did the Marathan Taste like, do they improve like a fine wine?

packed at the bottom of a box, along with 'cabaret queens' (a 60's art photo study of ladies ;) ) and another playboyesque mag. Piled over with PC jumble, to ensure its me that empties the box.

You off to work at Southampton International then mate? Bit of a come down isn't it? :)
Or are you easing yourself gently into retirement?

All being well this will be my last airport before I retire yes.
Not so much of a come down, SIA is up and coming, UK's fastest growing airport, although thats not saying much just now. We have great hopes for the place in the future.
can you ask the planes to carry straight on after take off? that way they'll avoid my house
thanks in advance
oh and don't allow any big planes to land either.
TIA again.

We found a crossbow under a mate's floor when we were helping him move. Luckily, no bolts for it.

Used to watch that on a Sunday afternoon as a nipper, when all the world was in black and white.
What I never could understand, was how someone could be on the telephone and see a TV set at the same time.
We had a telephone in the village, and I even looked to see if anyone was in the box when the programme was on, but never solved the mystery.
