Guys further to our breif discussions last Wed for organising our first get together of the season.

What date suits you guys early April - Late March for our first decent day out?

1st of April is good for me as its supose to be IAM but will skip.

Also if someone has some maps marked out maybe bring them along to our next meet and we can start comparing notes on suitable routes for the day.

I think most dates suit me to be honest. I am itching to use the bike for something other than commuting!

Yes! Desperate for a dry weather blast!
All dates around that time are good for me (currently anyway)..

1st of April you say? How about riding all the way to Donington and back for the World Superbikes? :)

Around that time is fine with me, may be moving house around then but should be cool :D

Donnington you say, may not be able to afford that but we should def. start looking at routes and see if anything pops out as a route to try.

Can't wait for the good weather :D

My bike (I'm thinking of naming her April - imaginative I know, 2nd name will be Fool ) will be celebrating her birthday that day.:smt113:riding:

I can't plan that far ahead, I'll probably make it whatever date is chosen (not Easter weekend though). It all depends on stuff (my vague sentence of the day ).

Gary, profound as always!

As long as we go out when it's reasonably dry, I swear I'm getting webbed feet with all this riding in the rain.

15th is prob better for me - cant do the 25th unfortunately.

If the weather is fine next weekend (sunday) I may go for a bit of an explore down around Arundel way if anyone is up for it.

Yeah - If the weather is poor I will prob do IAM. But am thinking we spend so much time messing about in the morning I would rather be out clocking up some miles - am hoping for sunshine!

Yeah.
Well, kind of. I would like to go, but there's no way I'm riding to Donington and back in one day!

Any date is good for me in general (at least at the moment).

I'm certainly in agreement with Dan and Grant though - as soon as there's a dry Sat/Sun morning I'm getting out there.
So, perhaps the best thing to do is to get it planned on the Thurs/Fri beforehand according to the weather forecast....

Rides that I know of:

Dan's twisties to/from the Ely.
Foxes Diner.
Errr....

I'm booked onto the Eurotunnel for the 17th if you fancy tagging along. London Bikers have a day over there (60+ riders). Although go for the date if it works as Mark mentioned above pre-planning at short notice works for me so will be up for whenever if it fits.

Thats the one Marc. Stu booked his ticket direct so you could prob do the same and let them know you want to start at boxhill.

Ok how about a two prong attack, the first spring rideout on the 17th or 18th of this month and then another rideout exatcly 4 weeks later on the 14th or 15th of April.

I'll post up a plan for the rideout soon, not sure on what day until nearer the time but if we decide Sat or Sun then a couple of days before we should know what day will be better.

Sounds good to me. I went to Fox's Diner on Saturday and am off out now for some kneedown practice, it's been so long I'm not sure how to do it anymore!
