Morning Rich,

Our man JT at the top, that's what I like to see, but with the top 6 all within 1 second, it's tight, and that's how we like it. After last week I reckon that we could do with a bit fairing bashing going on....

Saying on the WSB site that Kagayama has bust his collarbone

Japanese ace Yukio Kagayama (Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra) suffered a heavy fall in qualifying on day one, breaking his left collarbone and suffering a suspected punctured spleen, probably due to a suspected broken rib. He was flown to a hospital in Melbourne for more detailed checks and examinations

If Yukio has done his speen and colarbone and broken a rib then he would probably be out for this weekend and quite possibly more . The next race weekend isn't until the beginning of April ( Donnington on the 1st) and he may be fit for that but if not then there are 3 races in April and all at physical circuits so a replacement maybe needed , er Neil Hogdson anyone ?

or maybe there's someone who already rides a factory suzuki superbike whose season doesn't start for a few weeks yet ;-)

probably the other non-corona alstare suzuki rider will step up - Neikichner?

Alpinestarhero
02-03-07, 05:02 PM
Oh no...I hope Yukio bounces back soon. I'm sure he will; after all, how many people do you know that can win two BSB races in a day with a still-not-quite-mended pelvis?!

So, vacent alstare seat...

...walker won a WSB race last season...

(wishfull thinking)

Matt

P.S. Go Toseland!!!!

You mean one with recent WSB experience, who may also be British ?

That would be the one . :D :D

Certainly been very impressed with Neikichner , think he has deserved a better ride than his had recently ,Klaffi Honda should have stuck with him last season , and if the great Yukio is out then he deserves a chance . Can't see the Stalker getting an opportunity , as good as that would be the BSB season would be up and running by Donnington (not a moment to soon :D :D ) . Although since Yukio is cleary bionic and no doubt they will rebuild him his absense could well be confined to just this weekend . Will be amazed if he rides this weekend .

Front row for JT in superpole tomorrow , then 2 podium finishes and he will be off to flier for the season .

Was a bloody good day allright! Weather held for the day and great racing. Loved the dust up between the Yamahas and Biaggi, welcome to SBK mate. Looks like Yamaha still have a way to go with sorting out their traction control, both SBK and SS seemed to suffer badly with the tyres.

Yep, was a corker of a day and Phillip Island is an awesome circuit....no area was rammed, and you can actually take your bike right to the edge of the circuit and ride around to different corners between races....nice touch! Looked out for you Peter but couldn't see you mate, but did you see those blonde twins on the eBike stand? :smt118

All in all it was a great way to finish an brilliant holiday in an awesome part of the world :D

Cheers,

Paul

Pity we didn't catch up mate, glad you enjoyed the weekend though. They don't let you ride up to the viewing areas at MotoGP though, pity but like you said nice touch.
