I did have mesh on mine but took it off as it wasn't rust proof...

cheers mate i've managed to do it now. Did it all go rusty or just where you cut?

I used the steel liner of a JCB fuel filter as I thought it was Stainless, but no, over a year it tinted and started to rust so when I came off last year and had the lowers resprayed I cut them out again...
might get some more mesh from B&Q and try it again this summer.:riding:
