Got those 6 months ago and love them to bits. Lightweight, comfy a good looking. However I noticed that the sliders on outside of each boot are nicely digging into the side of the boot. So I took the sliders off and filed the edges so they are nice and smooth now. Anyone else had the same problem?

me neither mate lol !!
had some beers - apologies..
I meant oversized. - I know that sidi boots come up small. so I am a size 8 but need a 9 in sidi
was wondering what the sizing in oxtars is..
god knows how I got to "assized" -

You got me worried. I thought I would have to improve my vocabulary. Considering you were writing it with few beers circulating through your system it is pretty impressive. If it happened to me I would be banned forever from this site.
They seem to be pretty spot on. I am size 8 too and I got size 8. Was considering 7.5 but they were too tight. Apart from the slider problem I love them. Comfier than my dad’s slippers, light and good looking and most importantly they feel solid. Haven’t crashed in them yet so cannot report on the actual performance. Would definitely recommend them. I paid £120 but there is an offer in the last MCN and you can get them for £89. That’s a bargain mate!
Mr Quiff, I've a pair of Oxstars, not the SS though.
They're a size 43 (9?) while my shoe size is 7 1/2.
I have quite a broad fitting. I could never find a pair sidis that I could get my feet in, but the Oxstar are, I find, a good boot, comfortable to ride and walk in.
Change of topic, you not selling the bike now?

I've got these boots, and really recommend them waterproof wise- been in some shocking weather, and these really work well.
Got mine for £89 at the 2005 Nec Show. And they're perfect.
Size wise- I got a size 7, even tho I'm a 6. But mainly as I tend to wear thicker socks whilst out on bike.

yea I want to.. but unsure of work committments.. unsure if I working !. .. will have to see.. ..
pace was a bit fast for me last year- I like to see the scenery !!.....!!>>>>>>
plus didnt get to meet any souvvernersss .. except on the tea stops.. oh apart from Dr Rich- but he's a posh southerner,, with lovely manners and likes his ale.,.. so a northerner really.!!
so are these SS performance boots fully waterproof?
they look a nice boot and for the price
been having a look at those blackrains which ive heard are properly waterproof, but they dont have the toe sliders the SS have, and theyre more expensive
Then again are toe sliders important if as Dave said they get in the way and best to take them off anyway?

got a pair - but mine are NOT fully waterproof - they have a tendency to leak at the toes (probably b'cos of the sliders!). I should have taken them back when they first leaked! shame really cos they really are comfortable boots
