After 2.5 years and 10k miles of having the sv decided its time for a change. I Test rode a 750 and a kawasaki zx10 at the end of last year and decided to go with a '07 plate k6.
Just picked it up today and hopefully I can get the first service done before the next s+w surfer's rideout 8)

Nice one, you wont be unhappy with that. My dad has the same model, in black, and he loves it to bits; specialy now he can open it up to 10,500 rpm...
(I now get throughly left behind :( )
Happy riding!

Hov, it was a while before he let me sit on his bikes, and he was reluctant to let me ride his scooter...
...so what hope do I have of the GSXR? :(
We'll see, july 12th, 2008...while he's taking out my restrictors with his back turned and the keys left unattended :p
Matt
Nice bike you've got there!!

Top choice of bike, you will love it.
The correct colours as well! Nice one mate.:D
That does look very very tasty:cool: I'd like a go too please;)
Very nice bike. I like the new GSXR's as they already have the sweet looking indicators and I personally like the stock exhaust on them too. It saves having to buy and fit aftermarket bits. A lot of people on here seem to go from the SV to a GSXR.
please tell me you are going to get rid of the snow shovel at the back ;)

And ask the dealer for the right plastics for your bike, they seem to have mixed some of them up. ;)

Went for the first ride this evening, highlight was the way it pulled from 70 to 90 in top gear was impressive considering the tall gearing and I'd never used more than 7k revs. It feels way more stable than my sv around corners, going to take it easy until its properly broken in yet though.
My slow speed control needs some work, the riding position/steering geometry and throttle/clutch interplay feels alot different which makes pulling out from 90 degree junctions in residential areas a bit more wobbly than I would like.

I KNOW I would scare myself on one!.
I want one
but:
1. cant afford it
2 its more bike than my skill or experience..
so well done you for taking it easy.. must be tempting to spank it and overdo it.. (even if breakin it in) so.. keep that sensible head on .
Lovely bike! I too am in the market for one but in black. Have looked at the R6, Daytona 675 and the 07 CBR 600RR but the GSXR 600 looks better to me but a test ride will tell me what i need to know
Take it easy
I do like the style of these. It's something just that little bit different at the front from all these pointy-nosed clones and over all it still looks like it's got a bit of meat to it.
Very nice indeed...
... though I too would prefer it in all black. Can't you just respray it? ;)
That is bootiful, drool, very nice, i will av to start saving up.

Sort of a natural progression, sticking with "brand loyalty" I guess...
The current crop of supersport bikes are very nice, and it's only Suzuki that make a 750, and I think that some manufacturers are missing out. I'd sell my 'Blade (and my soul) for a CBR750RR.. If only :smt022 [-o<

I actually wanted a change of brand but dont like the R6 fairing, did not feel good on the 675 tona, wanted a metal tank and some underseat storage unlike on the cbr 600rr 07 which looks a bit naff to me anyway. So here i am looking at the gsxr as a next bike but nought to do with brand loyalty
