At a wild guess, I'd say that the SV1000 is fastest and the XB12R stops fastest.
sv1000s is faster than xb12r,,i think you said your mate on his cud'nt keep up with you. . Think thats the same bike. and im guessing the mahoosive disc gives good stopping power on the xb12r!!!
What goes and stops the fastest is not always the better machine unless its on a drag strip. Living with the bikes in the real world and checking that the bike is fit for the purpose that it was purchased for is the important question to ponder IMHO.
Other than that I'd tend to agree with mr wyrdness.

the buell xb12r = 3.84 seconds
the gsx-r 1000 = 3.73 seconds
the sv 1000s = 3.37 seconds

Interesting figures, particularly in the case of the 100-0 times...

Very interesting results there Kwak, whats the mag?
its RIDE magazine jan 04, the sv1000s wins over the buell because of its good headlights, power, more practical and £2000 cheaper than the buell.:D
It's good to know that the SV wins out over the Buell. The SV would be my preferred choice out of the two. Interesting to see it improves on the gixer as well in 0 to 60 and breaking as well.

i got a tl1000s 97
had a go on the xbs12 at the nec......it was poo! though the break was good. thats about it.
very interesting i didnt know the 0-60 was quicker than the gixxer 1000. obvious knw i think of it tho because the sv has more low down power so can get rolling faster...still v interesting!!
