hello,

recently had my new tyres fitted and was going to check/adjust tyre preasures,

does anyone know the standard tyre preasures? and if anyone rides them non standard, what do you go for? and how do you find it?

My sv650 owner's handbook says 33F 36B (psi) [pressure] but someone on here said that tyre manufactures standardise on 36f and 42B I use the latter and it certainly 'feels' better.

i've always stuck with 33 and 36 and found it ok

that said i rode with the front on about 8psi for a while and only thought the front end a " wee bit woolly" so i'm not much bloody help....

I'm on 33/36 at the moment, but I'll be moving to 36/42 once I'm convinced my suspension setup is alright (had a bit of a moment yesterday).

Yeah the recommended pressures are fine, though I always run 36F 39R. It feels slightly better, and can cope with the contraction of a cold day without dipping under the recommended pressures.

33f and 37r for me but i do have a wider rear fitted! I messed around with the psi on the rear untill it felt right.

Interesting, I'll give it a couple more front and rear next time I check 'em.

Useful discussion of tyre pressures in this thread (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=84767), including information from Avon.
