Ok sorry about the wait but here it is, the first rideout of the year for the guildford massive lot and it will hopefully prove to be a good day. I just checked the forecast and it had a big sun so fingers crossed for the Saturday being a sunny one.

Right Rideout route isn't exactly set in stone but will be start out from the little chef and old infinity building next to the A3 in guildford. Then we will head down towards Portsdown hill for a breather and a burger. From there I was thinking of heading back to the a272 and then the a29 to boxhill and then home.

Not a particularly new route but I think it should be a good route to take, we can always take an extended trip along the coast if the weather is good depending on what time people have.

I was thinking of starting the riding early around 8am or even earlier if you want.

Anyway ill get some more specifics a bit later but reply if you think you can make it or any suggesstions.

Sounds good. Any chance of meeting up with you in/near Guildford as the ely is a bit of a trek for us (esp for an 8am start!)

I don't think I'll be making this one, as I'm probably going to be doing the TLB france trip.

Anyway, I've posted some new routes in the routes thread (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=67750) that might be worth considering.

Sorry.....

Not going to be able make this one because:

My sister from Wales is down for the weekend for Mothers Day so will prob be doing family stuff.
More importantly, I've been told my bike won't be ready cos the paintshop is waiting for paint.

So now you're painting it too!?!? Or is that just the forks?

Get a Allstare Corona rep. Go on. Dare ya!?

I'd be interested, would meet you up at Portsdown hill. Going all the way up to Guilford to be a tad pointless for me considering I live a stones throw away from the hill!

Ok were gonna start off from guildford now, the little chef and old infinity garage next to the A3 going out of Guildford.

From there a winding little route down south :D

Well I wanna get out on the roads before the weekend traffic so thinking 8am is still a good time, I will try and get there on time...or even before... but around 8. The earlier the better tbh.

Hmmm, sounds interesting. But I'll give it a miss folks. The last ride-out I attended (in early Oct) Bracknell-Fox's Diner, everyone was far too speedy for my sedate riding style! Plus I had a stationary drop!!!!

Best not to temp fate! May well join you all when I've gotten rid of the cobwebs from a non-riding winter

Hey $i, meeting at the old infinity garage on the A3 out of guildford then riding down to portsdown hill and then back up to boxhill via some other roads.

Me and Spider are meeting at my place at 8am so we'll be in Guildford as quick as we can. Shouldn't be too bad that time of the morning though.

Well we got to the little chef at about 10 to 9 as I took a wrong turn and ended up going down the A31.............and you'd already left (swines) :smt089 . Still, we decided to have a nice big brekkie and then popped into Infinity. Came out with a new pair of Sidi boots and Rocket gloves and a much lighter wallet! Also was chatting to Rebecca who works there and she is a trackday instructor, so will be heading to Mallory on the 9th june for some trackday fun with her........ooh that sounded dodgy.:p Then me and Mr Spider took a jaunt down to Hayling Island and back. Was an amazing ride, some great roads and some lovely kneedown bends although it took me a while to get used to my new boots. Overall it was great, how did the offical rideout go?

Ah thats a shame Dan, we left at 8:45, I sent a text and didnt know what was happening so just tootled down the A286. Glad ya had a good time Dan and Spider, next time we'll get a route to the meet up destination put up as well ;)

The route we took was the A286, A272 and then A32 to boxhill, got up there about 10:15 and stayed there around half an hour or more then along the a27 then a285 eventually a29 to boxhill.

Was a great rideout though, managed to scrub in my new tyres a bit and open the throttle a bit :D Got the front end shaking its head a couple of times over those bumpy surfaces.

Thanks to all and some of the pictures I took are below! roll on the next rideout :D

Portsdown 1 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0101.jpg), Portsdown 2 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0102.jpg), Portsdown 3 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0103.jpg), Portsdown 4 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0104.jpg), Mille 1 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0105.jpg), Mille 2 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0106.jpg), Pug 106 (http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u167/gunblade_falc/IMAG0107.jpg)

It does when you have to work the week inbetween Young Law. In the end it wasnt a puncture at all. Fitted some Yellow rim tape, tightened her chain, adjusted the rear brake, and i didnt get out of bed until 10! :)
