Hello to you all, I`m selling this sv to fund a newish super bike,so if you have a gixer 1000, or R1 or similar let me know, Right its red with a black frame, just over 3k on an 05 plate, completely standard.
The bike has a restricted 33bhp kit on it (which the dealer will remove for next to nothing) so you can ride without the big licience.
It will be due a service so if you want it de-restricting, do it at the same time.
There is only one owner on the logbook & all the accompaning paperwork is in place. It is taxed until the middle of the year so just show up & ride away.
The warrenty is still running till august this year so no running worries.
I am open to sensible offers, so give me a ring, nick 07734005445:p

Hi, Bit of a jump that isn't it? Restricted SV to a gixer 1000, or R1?

I'm interested but only if you have the unrestricted ECU as they are about £400. Where are you based?

Also interested - concerned about 33BHP restriction (not familiar with method used on these bikes). Can I also ask where you are based?

Sorry didn't wish to sound alarmist. I had a 33' kit in my GS550 a few years ago and that was just basically some washers in the carbs which weren't too bad to remove - tho I doubt the stoichiometric ratio has been right since since I didn't alter anything else.
Tx for the location, probably a bit far for me but you never know.

Morning Nick, I'm just down the road from you in Mirfield. What sort of price are you advertising this bike at? Also, how does the bike ride with the restriction? It's only roughly half the power whilst restricted but I have heard some 600's can be a bar-steward to ride when they've got a muzzle on.

I'm in a bit of a dilema because I was planning on buying a bike in may (since I've got alsorts of stupid business trips away in the meantime) but if yours is what I'm after, I might have to get on the blower to northern rock or some other money funsters. Let me know, Pt6^

p.s. Any pics? Cheers

The unrestricted ECU's are apparently supplied by Suzuki dealers for about £150 fitted (this is only hearsay though, so CHECK with Suzuki) - so make sure you get the proper ECU with the bike - or ensure the price reflects the fact that you'll need to get the bike unrestricted.

It's not a big job - pop off side panels, remove rider's seat, remove restricted ECU, replace with unrestricted ECU. But in terms of not being expensive, that depends on your definition.
