The tickets got sent to the sorting office so i won't get them until the weekend now! Just aswell they didn't try to send them next week!!!

I was at the last Ozzfest, where the weather went hellish- hailstones for Cradle of Filth (I was watching Skindred in the big shed, momma didn't raise no fool) and thunder and lightning and howling wind for System of a Down- SOAD's set was cut short because the lighting rig was unsafe, I heard one of their crew got hit by a falling light. It was insane, but absolute dynamite- I've seen them 5 or 6 times, the 2 I'll remember are that one with the storm in our faces, and Reading when the ground was so dry that the dust came up, and visibility was about 4 feet. Totally, well, elemental. It does help that they were fantastic both times.

Still, a whole day in weather like that would have been quite offputting :)

I'm not fussed about the weather, the heat last year was awesome but I've got a poncho, combat boots and gortex '95s to keep me dry if it rains :)

Tried to get my tickets at the weeken but my frigging post office shut at 1pm!!! Big panic now to try to get my tickets. They send them back after a week!!!!!!! Not good at all.
My brother finishes his exam at 2.30 on Thursday so we're gonna head straight to Donny from there. I've got two tents so hopefully we'll have a good little circle/square/triangle of tents going on. I don't care about the weather as long as it doesn't affect the acts and still enables me to don the Spongebob vest!!!!!

A CHALLENGE!!!

Last year at download they had a games area.
Think Gladiator where you stand on a raised pedestal and are given a large stick with a club on either end and have to fight someone on a pedestal opposite.

None of my mates could get me off and I think it's down to the biking and the balance that comes with it.

As there are a large number of bikers going I think it would be a fun little challenge while the crap bands are on :)

I'll personally buy the winner a beer :)

Didnt watch mcr, went and squeezed into the 2nd stage to see korn, iron maiden rocked, stone sour were brill!, evenescence played a great set, within tempation had to cut their set really short (booo!), enjoyed it, it was my 6th year there (inc ozzfest) so im kinda vetran at this now lol

I had the most amazing time. Was cool to meet Paws and Dangerousquietone. Stone Sour were so amazing and like Paws i didn't bother with My Chemical Toilet, i went to watch Korn rip the place up. Marilyn Manson was great and so were Linkin Park (2nd time i've seen them and they rock!). I crowd surfed my way out at the end of LP cos it was so rammed. Got a few bruises but also got a bit of a tan so i'm chuffed. Hope your sun sizzle gets better Paws. Looked really sore!!!

Was brilliant, had an awesome time.
Arrived a bit late on friday so didn't manage to catch any of the bands.
Saturday started off well, i thought the first band (finnish? battle metal?) was great. Next few bands were ok but nothing special.

Machine Head and Slayer were good, Manson was a good show as always. The big decision was always going to be Linkin Park vs Motley Crue, we chose Motley Crue and it turned out to be a winner. The set was awesome, the band were awesome, the on stage antics were great, Just an amazing show.:notworthy:

Sunday was great too, with some good performances all day long. Stone Sour were brilliant playing a great set and really amping the crowd up.:smt035
Killswitch and Evanescence were both good, but nothing compared to Iron Maiden. As expected they produced an amazing set and a great show. :smt004

Highlight of the weekend?....

Mine was when Stone Sour played 'Through the glass'. I prayed they'd play it and they did. I was standing at the metal barriers that ran through the crowd so got a good spot and everyone linked arms and sang it together. I was a very happy bunny.

Oh, BTW, Jared (30 secs) is HOT!!!

I didn't get to see Paramore or Enter Shikari cus I was in my tent with heatstroke :(

The best bands of the weekend were Korn, Papa Roach, Killswitch, Stonesour, MM, and LP. Yet Scumface topped them all.

Was dissapointed by Evanescence but was nice to see that Amy Lee really IS that hot in real life!

Chimaira and Lamb of God were really good seeing as I've never listened to their music before.

We'd had a bit too much Tuborg at this point so please excuse the state i was in (although you probably saw me in a much sweatier state later on!). Originally had hair down but it was too bloody hot!!!
