That was a bit parky on the old mits this morning.

Bit late to be investing in some winter gloves though.

Still a lot of salt around :(

Has anyone used ACF50? Using FS365 at the moment but a colleague mentined ACF50 and how good it was.

Cheers

Too much salt for my liking still...but the season starts for me with the Easter Egg run!!!

Do you have a set of liner gloves?? These might be a cheap alternative to buying winter gloves - I can wear my under my summer gloves or winter gloves! You lose a wee bit of feeling ,but your hands stay toasty!

I have been using FS365 SINCE I got my bike, in september, as i didnt fancy the sticky mess that ACF50 seems to leave.

I have "seemed" to have no problems with FS 365.

I think Northy uses ACF50?

I use both, but only because my neighbour gave me some ACF50 buckshee...

All the bits that face forward and down get the ACF50 and everything else gets the 365. Don't know if it's really doing anything but it makes me feel better :)

Use ACF 50 on the Duke.. keeps it lookin very shiney! Does not leave any sticky mess on it either, and is reasonably resistant to a power washer :D
Spray it on and it spreads itself about, don't need a lot either.. which is good at the price of it :smt103

... an it smells nice too when the bike's warm

Mmm, marzipan...

ACF50's ace. It's no better than FS365, it just lasts miles longer so you can be even lazier :) I apply a thick coat with a spray gun so it does gather muck a little, but if you apply it a bit more sparingly it doesn't really do that much. But I go for "more is more" :)It does make a big difference, I was really lax going into this winter and my bike suffered a bit, then I finally got busy with the ACF etc and it stopped getting any worse.

If you have lil' girly hands I have a pair of Spada WP Polar 2s, or some such, for sale in Medium... But even I need a Large, becuase the fingers are short, so I got a pair of large and these are spare. Great winter gloves.

I keep on meaning to fix my heated grips, then I think "Nah, it's spring, it won't be all that cold..." Brr.

Nah, got all kinked out and "borrowed" a load of laytex gloves from the work.

Made some difference, not loads, but most importantly it felt wrong!:D

Think I'll just suffer the cold, it's getting much warmer now anyhow.

It's been GORGEOUS! If today was cold, you should move somewhere warmer. The sun, perhaps.

Depends what time you leave in the morning Northy... Was a nice coating of frost on the cars this morn at 6.15 when i woke the neighbours

Now take my summer gloves to work in my back pack, and wear the winter ones on the way in.

I've heard rumours that such times of the morning exist, but I've never seen them... At least, not on any occasion when my recollections can be trusted :)

Oooh, beware of latex allergies -these can killl!!!!

As for cold....well, anytime I took off latex gloves (or these days nitrile), usually a significant amount of sweat pours out of the gloves.....

Been out a couple of times with just my winter gloves onw - no liners - over the past week, it's much warmer now!

Cold is 6.30am cold.

Not too bad.

I went in late last week, around 8.30am, the difference was massive.

It's hovering between 1-3 degrees at the moment when I leave for work.

Wind chill an all that kak makes it just a little colder.

Cheers

I was taking my bike the other day but NLC had put so much salt down the day before I didn't risk it. I came back at 4.30 and there were inches of salt round the roundabouts in cumbernauld - Lethal!!

It's like 6:30pm but you can't have a beer.

So why bother? ;)
