Well done, good choice.

I think you have to keep restrictors on until 21 though? This is what a motorcycling instructor told me, i always thought it was two years and thats it!

Anywho, 33bhp is still bloody fun, I'm having a cracking time on my restricted yellow beast

Restriction is for two years from the date of passing the test - 21's relevant just as the age at which you qualify to do DAS - If your restriction began the day before your 21st birthday, you'd still have to wait two years - although you could then take the test again the next day on a >500cc bike and get a derestricted license that way.

So When I Am 19 I'll Be Of My Restriction?
Or Do I Have To Wait Untill 21?

2 years from passing your test, so if you took it at 17 then you can ride unrestricted at 19.

If you pass at 20, then you're unrestricted at 22, or you can take another test at 21.

What WRC said.

nice bike - congrats!

btw licence-wise you'll need to take your 125cc test before you can ride the SV at all, then (as has been said) it will need to be derestricted for a further 2 years. But don't worry, it's still a lot of fun restricted or not!

On a different note i can recommend GB motorcyle training for your lessons ( based in Kettering and got me through my DAS in 5 days ).....

I`ve got the number floating around if you want it

Exactly what i was going to say......

Dont make the mistake of having your automatic CBT and then doing your training(this assumes the instructor didn't notice) and then turning up at your test with an automatic not a geared CBT! It may sound funny but a guy at my test centre (different training group) did just that...he wasn't happy when he got told to **** off...examiner was...he went for lunch :)

Oh happy memories :D

You say that now but assuming you have experience on the road and are of a passable standard (you must have been when you passed your restricted licence) £40 odd quid aint too much for that extra HP....especially as you seem to do alot of 2-up :)
