Just got into my leathers etc. Went into the garage. Tried to turn off alarm. Wouldn't do it. Realised that after 2 weeks I would need to turn on the ignition before I could turn it off. Did that. Still nothing:smt093 Looked at optimate connection - still connected....Looked at wall where pluged in - pulled out of wall:smt093 ****!
Then remembered....
I forgot to disconnect it the last time I went out, so when I rode out of garage I must have pulled it out of the wall....****e.
Now drinking coffee hoping that the now plugged in optimate will give me enough juice to crank her up...ho hum...

Out of curiosity, what alarm have you got Beanie? Mine does that ignition switch thing too when it hasn't been zapped for a while.

Give her a bump start and take her out for a good long run. That way you get out AND get the battery charged for next time.;)

Ah - problem is I kinda need some power to get her out the garage in the first place, being a weedy girl and all! I give up. I've locked up the garage, and I'm eating chocolate! **** it. I might even go shopping!:smt090

Fortunately, the problem was short lived, and after charging up overnight, she now fires up nicely!!!
However, the battery must have been in a real bad state of deep discharge ,as the optimate was showing it still 'Charging' this morning about 15 hours after the discovery!!!
Mind you ,the Meta system is meant to go into 'sleep' mode after ...10 days - I think (my SV1000S has the same alarm) and I'm surprised that the 2 weeks of no charging has drained the battery this much!
