Hi folks.

I'm just in from the associates meeting at Bishopbriggs. The weekly meets start for real next Wednesday 4th. The observers agreed at their own meeting that the first four weeks would all have a destination of Esquire House, Anniesland - so YES if you were thinking that those would be shorter, circular rides. Since the light will be fading quickly to start with, and new folk will be participating, it makes sense to operate within a smaller area in order that observers CAN actually see what their rider is doing.

The other news is that as more and more people pass their advanced test and progress to being observers, there are so few moving away that there's a large pool of observers available. This will mean that newbies (like me) will almost certainly be working on a 1:1 basis - there might even be two observers to one rider in some cases, but that means you observer is being watched as opposed to you having two riders watching you..........

.....in short- probably not a better time to consider some advanced training.;)

Remember 6.30 to be away by 7pm and you have a free first night to check it out.

Cheers,

get along there you lot, its a great club. one on one tuition is great and sometimes your observer gets observed by senior observer or qualified observer. everyone is nervous to start with but you soon forget you are being watched and just enjoy the ride. lots of nice people who are very patient.
