In the haynes manual under maintenance schedule when it says "every 15,000miles or 24 months" (about valve clearances) does that mean whatever comes first?
I dont cover anywhere near that mileage in 2 years, so does that mean I should get the valves done every 2 years?

It does mean whatever comes soonest, but I apply a bit of good old BB common sense.I can't see valves wearing out if the bike sits in the garage and does little mileage can you?I would change the oil though as it goes off with age.

More bike manufacturers are coming round to this - it's nuts to do checks on a piece of machinery on a time basis when the only way it can wear is through use. Valves won't need checking until the mileage is up, unless you're feeling sorry for your penniless local dealer - kerching!
