Suspnsion Question

Just bought this from a GSXR1000 K4

But don't really know what the two adjusters are for (me so fik!) There are two, this one at the top,

Question is, what do they do? Ta very much.

Top one is compression damping adjustment (speed the shock compresses)
and the bottom one is rebound damping adjustment (speed shock returns).
