View Full Version : The Oatsheaf in Fleet - 04/04/07
This weeks meet will be at... The Oatsheaf in Fleet (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=GU51+5DR&spn=0.005,0.02&hl=en), Mark H mentioned it the other time at the links and so me and Tara went there this afternoon and must say its a proper nice pub, loads of seating inside and out with sofa's and fires and good food/drink and decent prices.
Also on Wednesday there is a special taster session on Ales...

do you want me to come collect you? :smt064 and which bike are you gonna be on?
I'll be not there, so you'll have to make fun out of someone else's bike/fashion instead. :p

Grrrrr, I almost want to come.
All my favourite forum people in one room, and I'll not be there to make outrageous and inappropriate comments.
Sadly, by this time I shall be safely ensconced fire-side in a cottage in rural Devon.

Eeer. I thought you were skint!? I was even going to offer to lend you £50 (being the very trusting person I am) but then I realised I am also skint.:(

I am so skint. But, I rented my ass out over the weekend, and although I can't sit for long on anything other than a pile of goose down, I have enough cash for my trip.
It's all about priorities Dan.
I will take your £50 though, you'll get quite a lot for £50.
(Ps. Nice bike, I like you much more now)

I'll come along this week, if I can find it. I have a habit of getting lost easily!!
What time?
Finally somone actually listened to and acted upon one of my suggestions. Doesn't usually happen to me. They do a nice pint of pride there. Hopefully I'll make it along as it's a nice easy walk from home so I can have a beer or two. However there is an outside chance that Dan and I may actually be at a venue at the same time. This has never happened before so I'm sure one or other of us will be struck by lightening, get stuck under a piano, win the lottery and bugger off to some small pacific island or other such GM meet avoidance excuse.

Pssst, Falc...don't forget the beer festival. That's a good excuse not to ride. Get Tara to drive! Sadly, Sarah is selfishly staying in Wales tonight.

Well we'll all have to have a drink for Sarah. I've heard she can pack the pints away so we'd better make it at least 4 each.
Hic....

can you handle that many mate? ;)
4 pages for a beer and 16 pages for a days riding. If nothing else the GM are certainly a communicative lot. Now is the time for either Dan or I to find some reason to not make it.
