i did when i first moved to leeds but i was promoted to "Project Manager" shortly after, however the role i was doing was more design co ordination, on exploring th ejob market i fitted the d & b role well and it will lead on to a position such as design manager which would be ace in the future. :)

Did you go straight into design co-ordination before doing any actual design?! (If they give you more money, let me know how you managed it!)

I work for design/build contractor myself, EMCOR, which you may have heard of, especially as we're working with Costain on St Pancras.

No no i had worked for 4 years prior to that in the design side of things for various projects, super markets hospitals etc etc, iv been in design co ord sort of line for year and a bit now, but did some in my design years too, its good fun and i enjoy it,

just trying to confirm all the details really now, and await the official offfer before i hand my notice in....

scary stufff didnt expect it to happen this quickly!!

down side is ther are 2 other companies that want to see me again, but i think im convinced by costain.

I know costain are doing the St Pancras but not sure of any of the details... ill be working in the education sector not the "building" sector believe it or not... bit strange..but good overall!
