budget questions...

I've tried a search on google but it's a veritable quagmire out there...

1. Are there any financial incentives dished out by the tax man etc for people returning to work? (No, I don't mean a weekly pay packet that you can call your own!!:smt075 )

and...

2. I think there's something about combining earnings to benefit from improved tax allowances (or something like that).:mrgreen: Anyone know about this?

It's a bit difficult trying to find out about something when you don't really know what it is you're trying to find out!!:cheers: :smt043

Sorry can't really help with those questions, unless you're thinking of Tax Credits maybe ?

I find the governments own site to be pretty good overall, but as you say you have to know what you're looking for.

There's a link to the budget reports on the front page, and a search function. It does tend to bring up a lot of historical stuff though.
