Anyone got any opinion on the best place to make money in property. My sister is wanting me to join her in investing in France, her with a view for somewhere to move to when she retires and I'm wanting it for the investment potential. If the rent just covers the mortgage (which is 2.5% ;) ) I'd be happy.

Anyone done this already?

The smart money has been in Bulgaria for the last couple of years.Rock bottom prices followed by joining the EU results in huge price increases.The trick is to find somewhere that is cheap but potentially very desirable and has the safety of being in the EU so there are no residency or pension problems.

I have been looking to buy in Bulgaria for the past years. But everyone has beaten me to the bargains. All that seems to be available are the wrecks or new apartment complexes.

I want a nice 3/4 bedroom house in the sticks but about 20 mins from airport/beach with a garage to leave a bike/car. Extreamly good internet connectivity. Forget trying to make rental money out of it. I would simply want to live there for 6 months a year.
