So what do you think?

They are planning of making a fully faired version, its an automatic gearbox, the fuel tank is under the seat so the tank is storage, enough for a full faced helmet...

spot the difference:

Interesting idea for the switch between manual/auto box on the mana though. Not sure if I'd like the weight of fuel behind me when coming out of a corner hard.

........looks normal from that side.

Think its the left side that gives me the :smt078

I would imagine it appeals to scooter riders wanting something proper. One for the Euro city gent. Can't imagine too many UK folk buying into it. My guess is it will be more than the 750 Shiver?

Anywayz..........................

I actually think it looks like the GSR600 (sort of).

Not bad though, does it have a manual option (ie, can you get a non auto version) ?

The automatic gearbox has three options at the press of a button..sports, 7 speed gearbox and fully automatic i think (if what i read was right) however its bigger brother that is planned will only be a manual gearbox.

I think I will be keeping an eye on it though to see how it develops...

Huummm, bit gutless though, looks ok, but I'd have one of these

Waiting for the rumoured 1200 Shiver meself. Hopefully won't be to far away from the lovely look of the 750. Would want the extra grunt, but I predict the 750 will be a peach. Hopefully 'prilla get the price right( and a bigger dealer network:( )

Just to correct Fraser a little (sorry :p).

The auto-box has 3 settings. Sports (supposedly beats most SS600's at the lights!), Normal (obvious), and "rain" (smoother power delivery to compensate for ham fisted throttle action).

It also has a "pseudo manual" setting, but no gear lever at the left foot. Gear changes are done on the bars in manual mode.

That would be the new Tuono then :) The Shiver looks ace and a nice mid step up from 600/650 twins - not sure about the Mana's less power for the bigger motor.

Don't think I could handle that. I like to ride my bike, but it could be handy for a commuter. Aprilia have obviously got fixated on Scooters :(

I stand corrected lol, I read the article awhile ago but now that you mention it...aprilla have teamed up with piaggio on this. I think over the coming few years there will be more of these bikes, we already know about honda's...I would be interested to ride one though.

Cheers Baph ;)
