For those of you who don't know KG is ill in hospital. He's been there since the Thursday before the Ice Cream run so he has been pretty ill. Not going to post details of whats up with him on the internet (so please don't ask!), but if SVEcosse guys (or anyone that knows him from down south) want an update please PM me.
Rightly or wrongly, his partner and I took a decision not to post anything on the internet up to this point, but it's difficult to know what to do for the best (he's not been able to speak for himself). I'm glad to say he's on the road to recovery.
I'll go in and see him in the next couple of days, and planning to take in an SVEcosse Get Well Soon card. If you want to post your best wishes, please stick them on this thread and I'll print them out as captions and pritt stick them into the card. Remember how much he likes emoticons!!!
Thanks......
poor him. I remember you saying he was ill a while back I thought it was man flu or something.
give him a big hug from me, if he is up to it.
didnt realise you didnt get emotions with quick reply
:( sorry your not well
 glad your getting better
:silent: bet the peace and quiet is hell
:smt038 well done Ralph for doing this letter

Don't know ya  , never met ya :smt102 , but never like hearing of anyone ill enough to be in hospital :( - nasty places :smt086 , terrible food :smt078 and it's always the person in the next bed who gets the fit looking nurse :smt047 .

Well I look forward to seeing all those little faces on the card!!!
Going in to see him tonight.
I have copied and pasted all the replies into Word, faces and all, and printed them on card paper and placed inside them inside the card.
I sealed the envelope last night but I'll print off your greetings and any more that get posted before I leave work tonight, and put them in the card when he opens it.
He wasn't up for a lot of visitors last week, but I'll ask him tonight if he feels up to us all decending on him yet!
Hey KG!
Hope your feeling better REAL SOON!! Need my fix of that tablet of yours!!
Take care!

Still in Hospital. He's not a well man I'm afraid, but he is stable and on the the road to recovery, he's just not covering very many miles very quickly. In a lot of pain and semi-awake most of the time because of his pain killers.
Still can't get in to visit as he's not able for it, so just getting updates from his GF.
Hopefully by next week he'll be a bit better, but then Doctors predict progress every week, then something else inside him goes Pete Tong. It's all a matter of time and everyone keep fingers and toes crossed for a quicker recovery! If he starts to recover a bit quicker we might see him home and posting within 2-3 weeks.

When I was in hospital,I took the weekends at home and odd days durring the week (back after Tea).
It's a real treatment after being in a ward for several months.
As I aquired the MRSA in my stay got a side room,a bit boring though it also had it's perks.
Glad to hear that Mark is improving.

:D I'm Home.
A massive thanks to everyone for their concern and kind thoughts. Colin brought in the card and passed on your wishes. I cant thank you enough but most espcialy Ralph who went over to mine and took the sv off the road, cleaned lubed, petrol stabiliser, battrey optimiser etc, so when i'm able to get back on it might actually go.
I got out last week although i need to attend the outpatients dept for the next few weeks at least. Sorry its taken so long to post but still pretty gubbed and the computer lives upstairs.
Thanks again for all the support and i'll hopefully catch up with you all soon, although it will be a long time before i'm fit enough for the bike.
The gorey details I'll save for those that are interested but in brief, 3 months in hospital, on respirator, unconscious or doped up for 8 weeks, I can only remember the last 3 or 4 vaugely, couple of ops, (nice scar) 5 hospital based infections, 6 - 12 months recooperation, 3 - 4 years until full fitness returns if ever. But I'm still here and I will be back on the bike (this year??)
I'll try and read through what i've missed, hope you are all happy, healthy and upright and hopefully see you soon. Thanks again:notworthy:
