Past 7 days, I did 1050 miles in total. The contis have lost the writing in the middle. :(

Monday, rode from Guildford to Peterborough

Tuesday, Went 50 miles up the road in the wet and rain to Evotech in Alford to get my tailtidy.
They were very nice, offered me a coffee (didn't take one though) I meantioned the org and they gave me a discount. They also explained how to fit it.

Some ducks on Saturday while I was taking photos for my other thread. :)

Did 430ish miles with PeteVtwin and Lissa, plus their friends on Easter Sunday. Started off from Peterborough at 8:15am and got back at 10:15pm.
Fun day, few scary moments - I cut a rh corner, hit a cats eye, went off line and slammed on the brakes.

Petrol station, I think Lissa kidnapped 2 random bikers here and took them on the ride!

Things I've learnt over the past 2 days.

My left shoulder aches loads and goes stiff on the bike after loads of miles.
Judgement/riding needs to improve.
Everyone else is superfast!! example, I had trouble keeping up with Stu and Dan on twisties on the way home.

V-Raptor, I guess. The original Raptor looks like a proper bike.

wow, i can't believe anyone made a bike looking like that! i assumed i had some kind of front added on to it. I wonder why they went for orange/green with a silver tank ?!

You're right, I did kidnap the two young lads at the petrol station in Chippenham. They were sitting on their bikes looking so wistfully at us all getting ready to set off that I just asked if they'd like to come along. I thought they did really well, especially the lad on the NSR:D In fact, he's now joined WMR..............wants to come out with us again!

Everyone got home safely, although a few of them were totally cream crackered................and our rear is now toast!

By the way..............people should be aware that Law is a VERY bad lad! He kept trying to persuade me to have ice cream AND cake at the cafe in Glastonbury!:)

It is indeed a V-Raptor and can only be described as fugly at the best of times! The on in Laws picture looks like it's been resprayed as the nose fairing is meant to match the clolour of the tank

Don't try and keep up - your speed will come with experiance on the bike. I ride with guys of 30 years experiance (my old man and his mates) and never try to keep up - to do so is a death wish! Instead, I'll go a bit faster than I would on my own, but slower than them. This way I'm learning, but I'm not about to plant myself in a hedge going faster than I can handle!

True. I didn't try to keep up on the twisties, the bike doesn't handle well with panniers anyway.

The scary moments were:

Glastonbury - hitting a cats eye when I turned to early on a right hander, went wide and put the brakes on. Looked in the mirror and saw a NSR right up my backside.

Southend - Went into a left hand bend, squeezed the brakes mid corner to slower speed and saw Dan large in my mirrors again. I could have leant over more and actually made the corner but wasn't happy with the bike's handling that day.

Another one was Cazza overtook a car and I looked ahead and went for the overtake. The car moved right over the centre line so I hesitated a bit and slowed a bit going wide for more room. As I was going past him there was a oncoming white van that flashed his lights a lot at me. Got in with a couple of car lengths between me and the van.

Not particularly happy about having to filter/weave through motorway traffic at high speeds with panniers.

I'm very critical of my riding and don't like making mistakes.
