A few photos from today, in no particular order. I'm still getting to grips with my new DSLR, but for a first attempt I'm pretty pleased.

excess fuel/air mix getting drawn throught the engine under braking, when the wheel is driving the engine, & then the mix getting ignited in the hot exhaust
why does crutchlow only appear to have one can? I know they run them as one live, one dummy, but CC only seems to have one - Stalker has two
ace pics btw fizz :-)
Fantabulas photos Fizz, now looking forward to seeing the race. on Euro sport

It looks like BSB rules are different to those in WSB (where if the road bike has 2 cans, the race bike must have as well).
Both cans on Stalkers GSXR emit flames (well they did at Brands) so both must be "functional".
Fizz - Great pics

I did wander about the can thing. The only other thing I can think of, is that Crutchlow is running a K6 bike and Stalker is on the K7...
That might explain it.
Nice pics Fizz, that last suzuki pic is great, very good :D

I think that must be it. BSB is a sillohette (sp) class so the bikes should look similar to the road bikes.
PS. Nice phots Fizz

Cool Pics Fizz, I think I can almost see myself in the crowd.
Was a great day out, pretty warm though.
You must of been in full view of that kiddy that toppled during the 125 practice. Shame about Chris Walker, never seems to have any luck.:smt102
Oh and I'm off to buy an RS4! ;)

Yep I was watching him catching the rider in front of him coming out of that corner, next thing he's completely upside down with one hand still holding onto the handlbar. Looked f*cking scarey... I think he did four or five cartwheels before he hit the deck. He sat up and laid straight back down again, he looked in a lot of pain. Then I cursed because I didnt have my camera out at that point...
Broken wrist and thigh I think.

At brands, the note of the engine was clearly differant to all the other 4cyl bikes - me and my dad think tehre is some trickery going on inside the engine?

Its a Nikon D40 DSLR, I took those with a Nikon 55 - 200mm lens.

Good lens - nice sharp pics
I was a bit disapointed with the pics I took at Lydden last summer - they came out quite soft. I suspect I should get my lens serviced or at least checked out by a professional as it was in my tank bag when I crashed in France, and it went flying down the road . . .

On the can thing I asked the same question on Gixerjunkies... this is what got posted in reply
MCRCB (BSB) technical regulations for exhausts....
5.2.3.6.33 Exhaust System
- The exhaust pipes and silencers may be altered or replaced from those fitted to the homologated motorcycle. catalytic converters must be removed
- For safety reasons, the exposed edge(s) of the exhaust pipes(s) outlet(s) must be rounded to avoid sharp edges.
- The maximum noise level is 107 dB/A (with a 3 dB/A tolerance after the race)
FIM (WSB) technical regulations for exhasuts....
2.4.6.34 Exhaust System
Exhaust pipes, catalytic converters and silencers may be altered or replaced
from those fitted to the homologated motorcycle.
The number of the final exhaust silencer(s) must remain as homologated. The
silencer(s) must be on the same side(s) of the homologated model. For safety reasons, the exposed edge(s) of the exhaust pipe(s) outlet(s) must be
rounded to avoid any sharp edges.
Wrapping of exhaust systems is not allowed except in the area of the riders foot
or an area in contact with the fairing for protection from heat.
The noise limit for Superbikes will be 107 dB/A (with a 3 dB/A tolerance after the
race).
Seems like BSB is less relaxed than WSB... so could be running different pipe config for different power delivery
