Taunton to Lands End...363.1 miles!!!!

It might aswell been to John O'Groats because i am shagged!!!8-[ Anyway started out at 9:30 this morning determind to make it to Lands Ends the coastal way. :smt107 (indeed)

So my route was Minehead, Porlock, Lynmouth, Barnstaple, Bude, Wadebridge, Redruth and the straight to Lands End. Didn't stop at all of them,,it would have taken days to ride otherwise!!

The weather was good from Taunton up until just after Barnstaple,, then it was solid fog all the way to Redruth i was in two minds as too turn back but soldiered through it to find some fantastic roads near Lands End!!

Had to do a rescue mission on the way though just after wadebridge, a sheep dog was running around the road just coming off a duel carraige way, so i managed somehow to chase him down a lane on my bike into a field revving my bike like mad,,it worked and i felt like i had done my deed,,just hope his owners found him ok!!! :rolleyes:

Back to the ride...Stayed in Lands End for about 30-45mins and then decided to start my journey home,,the sun had come out by this time and the roads on the way back were brill.. Well it was getting late so decided to go back on some of the A roads to make up some time got back at 6 ish so not bad :o !!!

All in all a fantastic day and at 363.1miles thats my biggest trip to date.. Recommend doing it but perhaps staying in a b&b to enjoy it abit more..

Looked like you had a great day out Rich. I'd love to do that coast road on a day like today. Last time I was in lands end it was pishing down so didnt hang about much.

In fact, we'll be down that way again at the end of the month................taking 30 people down with us this time:)

I think the photographer will need to be at John O' Groats to fit us all into the pic this time round:grin:
