Give me a month or two and a bike I can ride and enjoy, then I'll be right on it. but as of now I'll settle for part involvement with real life.
But agree with the sentiment, don't waste the good weather folks, some of us guy's have been there done that, It's always nice to have a fresh perspective on thiings, so come on all you new faces, give it a little thought, if it seems like to much work just contact one of the regulars and we will help with the details.
Pick a nice destination and perhaps a good lunch stop, then just link it with roads, could be your first time, go on you know you want to :D
People are now looking for any excuse to get out & about, thinking caps on.
Cheers Mark.

Anyone fancy a rideout to Portugal? :p I just seen the pics from yesterdays rideout... nah, not jealous at all.
Rictus... great to see you on two wheels again, as someone said before you really are an inspiration for the rest of us.
Feeling a bit inadequate after the Guildford Massive rideout Viney? ;)

Well, I will, but the last time that happened, there were only two of us!
I'm going to the coast this sunday/saturday depending on the weather. Quite happy to sort out a route and meeting point if all else fails, or just bimble along with whatever if anyone steps up.....
Come on SELKENT.....are we having this from the GM?
(Just kidding GM are our masters and I for one welcome our new overlords....)
Erm, we have been arranging rideouts a lot longer than them there GM whippersnappers. I mean, the forum was in danger of being deleted until Tara moved down...well done :)
Flac, dont get what you mean. I had to lead your rideout for half of it, as you lot cant read maps ;)
Skidmarx. Maybe a bit short notice. Look for sometime in may, would be good.

Only Jesting, yer the section was in danger of being deleted but were back now *cue eye of the tiger theme*
Yer let you off on that, we do have a distinct problem when it comes to reading maps
Anyway the more rideouts the better, as Rictus says lets not waste this good weather

How's about 26/27 May to Camber then?
Some lovely roads:rolleyes:
Ok, Ill give it some thought this weekend and post something up. Something that combines the road via Camber to Rye for definite... especially since the biffer handles it soooo well and having a bike with a bit more oooomph means Im actually more confident on doing some overtaking in bits than I was with the SV helps too :D :D :D
Re the weekend, up to Charlton tomorrow, hair do pm so thats out. Sunday, have to be back at Ashford for 4.... can meet someone if theyre down here in the morning/lunch time?

Ohh that's my neck of the woods. Some good roads that could be included depending on overall route (although to be honest almost every road in and out of Rye is awesome).
Military Road, Rye to Appledore - Alongside Military Canal - a series of chicanes linked by 500 yard straights, 500 yards was the maximum range of a canon when the canal was built to keep out Napoleon, the guns were placed at each bend in the canal. Very fast and good views, not the best place to come off though, 10 foot deep unfenced ditches down one side.
B2080 Appledore to Tenterden, Again very twisty and in open countryside, climbs up off the marsh in to fast straight section with great views before some good twisties then straightens up again for the run into Tenterden and speed limits.
Is Ashford where you are based Lyn? If you'd like some more route ideas and/or help with planning PM me. I'm always happy to help.

Yep in Ashford. Was thinking of incorporating some of the roads possibly across the marsh, also considering those out towards Bethersden/Pluckley which Im not too familiar with but will go bimble. Damn 600 service on Friday... until then I cant really do too much
Will have to meet up sometime and you can show me some of the roads Im not so familiar with. But yeah the Appledore/tenterden/brenzett road is great, then down to rye, back via camber... ahhhhh I can see it being on about 900 miles when it gets there on Friday

:D:D This is going to be a lot of fun I think. Looks like the weather may help to keep the miles down this week. Most of the roads around Bethersden and Pluckley are Supermoto territory, just a little too small and badly surfaced for bigger bikes to be much fun (IMHO), there is one heading out of Pluckley and over the motorway I'd love to try on a bike though :riding:.
Off to Wales next weekend but I have PM'ed you my number. Give me a shout and we can go for a spin and get our heads together to work out a route. :D
Edit: Have added you on MSN too.
Ah yes the route that we seem to do evry time we go out ;)
