Just got back from hols to find a letter from the solicitors saying that the court has found in my favour following the claim against the numpty pedestrian that caused my big off three years ago. Court ruled that defendant must pay me compensation and costs, yet to be decided. :D
I wonder if they'll make him go back to primary school to learn the green cross code as well?
My guess is that this one will run and run as, other than a nasty letter threatening to counter-claim for (non-existent) injury, he failed to respond to any letters from my solicitor and didn't acknowledge service of the court summons  . But he now has a court judgement standing against him, which may hamper his ability to work or conduct financial affairs, which serves him bloody well right :p. And, of course, the cost of sending in the bailiffs will add to his not inconsiderable bill.
Thanks to Ed for the encouragement to persist with this, and everyone who helped pick up the pieces and with the rehab etc. Full mobility almost resumed, although I expect I'll be permanently bothered by aches and pains. But all things considered, I'm extremely lucky to have survived the crash, and VERY glad I had on a full-face lid and fully-armoured leathers.
