freaky musical concidences?

My little ipod nano's a bit cheeky and loves playing tricks on me by coincidentally (?) throwing out a tune that is a bit freaky in its' circumstances.

Thinking on it, it does happen every so often, but here's the most recent one...

In Delhi last week trying to find an opticians to get my specs fixed as someone kindly stepped on them the day before. The nano plays 'Stand By Me' by The Clash. Hadn't heard it for ages and it always makes me smile.

Stepped into the opticians and what are they playing? Yup, 'Stand By Me' by The Clash :eek: (which was also the first western music I'd heard in over a week). I had to take my headphones off and on several times before I believed what I was hearing :confused: I mean, The Clash, of all things!:smt102

I was curious as to howlong it would take me to play through all of my music tracks on my Nano - so I set it to randomise...

... three days later I hear a track from a New Model Army album I'd forgotton I'd even had and though "Oh wow, I remember this," promtpy stopped working to listen to the track all the way through.

Then on came another from the same album.

Then another.

It ended up playing all of the album's tracks, with only a slight break towards the end for 'Stuck in the Middle With You' from my Resevoir Dogs soundtrack.

So much for 'Randomise'.

I love the shuffle feature :grin:

I dumped all the music from my PC onto my Nano without really checking what was there - I've got some some sound effects (Spitfires flying overhead), random downloadings from films ("I'll be back" :roll:), etc

I was listening to it in the car last week and must be the only person to have gone from Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D Minor, to Orgasm Addict by the Buzz****s, via Fred Flintstone singing Yabba-Dabba-Do :lol:


(oops I see the censor doesn't like ****s, or **** . . . etc - funny how it doesn't object to w##k :rolleyes: )
