So.. Moisturising.. Is it exclusivly for girls?
I found myself the other day staring quite clearly that i need more moisturiser as i have run out !!
Then i remembered i had some at work too in my draw...:smt017
I know i bought a yammaha but i didnt think that turned me into a girl... :smt081
Que public flaming and never living this down on rideouts etc....
You big poof.
Yes I do. Nivea oil control balancing moisturiser for men.
Well, as arguably the largest and most definately manly member of the org allow me to say that you are indeed a big girl. Which do you use? I find King of Shaves a bit oily, but Nivea isn't as good after shaving...;)
I find it really wierd when i tell people I moisturise and they think it makes me effeminate.:smt017 You wouldn't know i moisturise unless i told you, but if I didn't moisturise you'd know i had spots and red flaky skin. And everyone knows how butch flaky skin is...

You need a bit of oil control on the bod from the look of your avatar...
Surely a poll is in ordnung?
btw: I do indeed moisturise.
Nivea for men. It's pH balanced doncha know?
Doesn't help as my complexion isn't as clear as I would like it. Just done 30 days dairy-free & it has only made a slight improvement in it. Maybe it's time for the wheat-free diet....or maybe I'll book a spa weekend.
Oh no, what am I saying...! I've turned into a girl. Must be all that excessive oestrogen in the unfermented soya milk I've been drinking.
Moisturising exclusively for girls eh...
... um, I don't. Nor do I use Oil of Garnier's Niveaising Olay Simplistic Collegen Fructose Regenerist - with Ginger and 2% extract of a martian's butt.
Pure natural age me. ;)
Er - following your argument though, does that make me a bloke?

Traditionalist here, I moisturise with water :D
about the nearest I'll get is a bit of radox in the bath, don't do anything for your skin, but it's bliss on aching bones:cool:
Cheers Mark.

Well you do radiate at soho? So yes we/I noticed.
Not.
Pah, the closets I get to moistturising is when the bike splats me which oil, whats the matter with you lot.

Well, I use hand cream as I find my hands get dry to the point of being very sore, specialy on the knuckles. I'll put E45 on my face after shaving, and E45 on the backs of my legs since I am prone to eczema there.
Thats about it; I moisturise to keep my skin healthy but only where my body has trouble keeping the moisture in teh first place.

IAt the risk of also sounding a bit girly, I too moisturise. With a fair thick beard and having to shave almost every (week) day I'd rather deal with any comments than have to deal with sore flakey skin.
Nivea for me too....
.
Baby oil after a shower... ah, YEAH.
(use a separate moisturiser on my face tho... baby oil would be too ...erm... oily...)
What is this world coming to? First its hair gel now blokes are moisturising! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO; You'll be telling next that you don't even fart. Err, you don't wear G-strings do yer?:-dd Wot? - the wrong way round? :smt095 ;)
I don't know, you turn to the security of bikes to retain the fragile thread of macho manhood to find that a bunch of pansies roll in with moisturiser:hackedoff:.
One of my son's washes and blow dries his wig everyday and uses straigteners (by pretty Nicky Clark no less) whilst appling copious amounts of gels to his barnet. Oooooo its soooo embarrasing - sometimes he asks for a lift in the car and I'm sure someone is gonna recognise me.
You'll be wearing them false beauty spots next! Now come on get a grip, wear your wrinkly dry skin with pride, grow yer beer gut and enhance your ugliness and bigotness, just as real men and real bikers should be. :thumright:
Whatever happened to traditional values - you TARTS!

I don't, except after cleaning and washing the bike, when my hands get really dry from the oil and bike shampoo.

Damn right, stuff like that strips the skin of oil pretty easily. I used to get bad sores from using degreaser and being a teen, not wearing any gloves. Chemistry labs are bad for drying out the skin too, not just the solvents (acetone is cooolllddd) but the fume cuboards suck any moisture out of the room. For every hour in the lab I'll use a dab of hand cream to stop them drying out like a prune.

My 18 year old son spends more time in the bathroom than me, 20 minute shower, facial scrub, shave, moisturiser, hair gel, hair spray, teeth cleaning, flossing etc, stinks the whole house out with Lynx..............and thats just when he's going to his car mechanics course at college  :D ;)
I started getting a little worried until I heard him talking to his mate on the phone about the buff birds there;)
me............2 minute daily shower, hair wash once a week (its too long and thick to wash everyday) quick splurge of Oil of Olay on the Boat Race and Im done....takes me 10 minutes to get ready every morning:thumright:
what is the world coming to?! :smt102:D
Yaaaargh you scurvy dogs!! I use the spray from the sea when the wind blows a force ten as I cling on to the rigging abaft the beam on the crow's nest atop the main mast!! AAaaarrrrrgh!!
Vaseline intensive care for me, Im in and out of me truck 12 hours a night and it plays havoc with my compexion and I dont even want to talk about my hair.....

Maybe we should try injecting it if it's that good ;)
I moisturise, as otherwise I end up lookling like a leper. But I use manly E45, which doesn't count.
bunch of nancy boys.........the lot of you........ soap & waters all you need
you'll be saying you wear rubber/latex gloves to work on the bike next

In my defence (or not, as the ladies will surely say), I only shave once a week and always forget the moisturiser. Which reminds me that today that fantastic "3 day beard" effect is at it's best!

Is that because you have been growing it for 3 days.

Handlebar style moustache?
For those of you using E45, Aqueous cream from Boots is quite a bit cheaper & much the same. Reminds me must buy some more.
And Jelster, if you can't get Ping out of your head, I use it too - That should put you off!
Handlebar style moustache?
Thats the one...
Er, No.
No to what?

Ooh I bet you smell just luvly after putting that on:rolleyes:
Come on fellas - I remember a time when men were men and a single bar of Zest did the lot, body, hair, teeth...everything. And while I'm at it, i also remember a time when men carried their own cases and bags through airports without using these new matching wheeled cases with pull rod levers. Are we really losing our masculinity?? moisturiser??? - Don't make me laugh!!

OK, so if you're afraid you'll be made fun of for using a "moisturizer," try using Hawaiin Tropics sunscreen (30 or better). It has the vitamins and nutients to moisturize your skin and if anyone gives you heck about it, you can just tell them you don't want skin cancer when you get older. Problem solved. :D
