Getting close... and my mate Stewart's probably going to be joining us on his blue pointy, so I need to tell him times etc. Easties, usual plan, meet up at Maybury? Or Stirling services? Then over to Balloch MacDonalds for 10.00am is it?

Well got out today for about 20 miles....an improvement albeit a small one. I'm still struggling with my clutching - just too feckin painful. If anyone has some really good painkillers or happens to be a physio then send them/him/her my way otherwise I'm gonna drive myself crazy if I can't make it. :(

Blue Flame

i'd say, alloa - morrison's car park around 8.30 -

to give a bit time getting through and stopping off for a possible brekkie break.

Plus we have to make sure we have some moby numbers for the west coasters, just in case.

Stirling Services is the usual meeting spot for this one per northys post.

So....

What time is planned for the meet at Stirling?

Muzzkill... Pirnhall/Moto services Junction 9 on M9 north (just in case  )

Might stop into tesco in stirling for breakfast just to confuse myself some more.. dam sight cheaper than the services ;)

m8 = mate - not the road!

well i can make it to the tescos in stirling (next to mcdonalds?)

failing that if everyone is meeting all over the shop i will just be in Balloch!

kitkat
23-05-07, 05:36 PM
just to ease any confusion muzikill its balloch near loch lomond, not the one near cumbernauld or the one near perth

lol

it takes about 30 min or so from stirling so probably about 915 so you have time for a hot choc

see i dont understand that phrase washing board road. i thought if you had a wash board stomach it meant it was really tight and smooth. wibbly wobbly is more like my belly and definitely how it feels when on that road. i will be pillion on this ride out and really really hoping no wheels leave the road, cos if they do we are really really going to fast to get us both off the ground with the bike:eek:

If you think of an old fashioned washing board it is corrugated ie a series of bumps.......then the wibbly wobbly is like a giant wash board

either that or cause its always wet :smt045

Right, everyone, stop talking s**te! :)

Balloch at 10.00AM, means meeting at Stirling services for 9AM I reckon, it's not an hour to get up to and along the A811 but we'll end up leaving Stirling late, guaranteed. For anyone who doesn't know it, frankly you can't miss it, go up M9 till you see big signs, there's a mahoosive roundabout and some services, easy. 280312,688815 is the ref on streetmap.

Edinburgh people, fancy meeting up down here? I'll be meeting Stewart, if he makes it, at Maybury Services (shell station) most likely, leaving at maybe 9.15 but we'll have to be absolutely sharp. That's for more or less legal pace up the M9. So, if you fancy it meet at 9am at Maybury services? Since it seems to be working, that's 318150,672815 on streetmap.

Oh, yes. And if the weather's bad I'll still be in bed, so, make sure you know where you're going! I also can't be relied upon to be in front, so don't go on the assumption you can just switch off. It is VERY EASY, do not be afraid! Up M9, off, through some roundabouts, round a bit, down a bit past the castle, right, A811 for ages, golden arches. Read the map ;) Rideouts are rubbish if you don't know where you're going, you end up afraid to fall behind in case you get lost. Plan ahead!

If anyone disagrees with my timing, this is likely because my timing is very, very bad. Feel free to pipe up :)

Guys :(

Sorry but I tried my best. Wont be going tomorrow despite new bike( :) kwak zx6r J2 )

Went out for a couple of test rides yesterday from Perth to dunkeld and back but by the time I got back from the second one my arm was completely numb. Not much change today :( feels like i've been sleeping on it all night. There's no way I could manage it to balloch let alone do the rideout. I was desperate to go as well.

I hope you guys and girls have fun and be safe. I'll look forward to the photos.

Kitkat - we'll have to do the wet t-shirt compo later :(

if dean was looking at the ice cream girlie like that, its hardly surprising she was giving him funny looks. peaches and cream and strawberries and cream flavoured ice cream yum yum. was lovely except the brain freeze. but as the temp was about -2 or at least felt like that I would have been better with my usual hot choc.

thanks for a great day guys. will be riding myself next time, so should be comfier. saying that the nominated driver behaved himself and did not take off after dean. its amazing what the warning of castration can do.;)
